The White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Wednesday that Donald Trump is not concerned about the shell he received for the cost of his trips to the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Florida’s Democrats said travel and security costs associated with the president’s visits to the exclusive resort had become a “financial burden” for the local government.Since assuming office on January 20, Trump has traveled to Mar-A-Lago five times. However, he spent last weekend in Washington DC.

When asked by a reporter at a press conference on Wednesday whether the president’s decision to stay in the capital in response to criticism of expenses, Spicer said: “The president wanted to be here at the end of last week, he wants to be here this weekend. Be here, and then there will be updates about where he will proceed. “Asked if Trump was “worried about the retreat,” the press secretary said, “No, he is relieved.”

On Tuesday, congressional Democrats announced that the government’s accounting office would review the Trump’s travel costs associated with its Mar-A Lago flights. The office will also study the security and processing of confidential information relating to its residence in Palm Beach.

Earlier this month, a CNN report said officials in Palm Beach County were planning to raise taxes if the federal government or the president did not help cover the province associated with the flights.According to estimates by the sheriff’s department of Palm Beach County, about 60,000 dollars are spent on extra work each day when he visits Trump Mar-A Lago.

“This means that local taxpayers will bear the additional burden of being part of the security of the president of the United States,” said Polit Bourdick, mayor of Palm Beach County, to CNN. “It will be cuts or an increase in taxes.”
