At Least 37 Get Injured After Plane Crash Land In South Sudan


Due to bad weather on Monday, a commercial plane crashed in southern Sudan, injuring 43 people on board. It is a miracle that there are minor injuries, and not even one death.The accident occurred at the Wau airport in the northwest of the country, Atheni, a presidential spokesman in southern Sudan said the pilot took the runway on unpaved ground.

The crash began when the right wing of the plane collided with a car and a fire started on the right side of the plane, after the pilot opened the door near the tail that was not on fire and managed to evacuate everyone.

At first, the authorities could not find all the passengers because they had fled the scene. Twenty-five of them were taken to hospitals and three were still slightly in hospital. The plane was taking care of 43 adults and three children, said Walshing, who is in charge of the South High Air Lines in Wau.

The weather was not good and was cited for very cloudy conditions, when the plane was heading from the capital Juba to Wau, and Juba is located in the southern regions of the country.

The fire initially prompted many people to believe that they would not be able to survive; there were 40 passengers and 5 crew members on board the Super-Airlines Super Airliner.A number of people gathered near the plane after landing, and an ambulance was brought to the airport to the hospital and most of them were released shortly afterwards.

Some people went out by themselves others were pulled out, only the back of the plane was still but the rest was burnt.Looking back in the past in November 2015, a plane crashed in Juba and two passengers were dragged and slightly injured after one of them died.
