The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are likely to be the first Samsung devices to receive Android 7.1 update and perhaps very soon.Sambil reports that various Samsung applications like S Health and Game Tuner now support Android 7.1. Although in the form of APEC their company applications also show support for the Galaxy S8 and S8 +. This suggests that Samsung has begun testing the Android 7.1 update for both devices.
The start date is not yet known but the devices are expected to start reaching consumers this month.Samsung has a tradition of offering the latest updates first to the current key chain and then to older versions. It launched the Android version of Noga 7.0 for the first time for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge phones earlier this year.
Since the Galaxy S8 and S8 + come with Android 7.0 Nuega pre-installed, they are now in line to get the next Android update. Going ahead the Galaxy S8 series will probably be the first to get all the Noga updates among Samsung devices this year. The company had hinted earlier that all Samsung phones would get directly on the Android 7.1 update but that did not happen.
A few days ago Samsung announced that the Galaxy S8 and S8 + will not come with the Pixi voice commands at all. Fully functional Pix by will be available only by Spring and English will not be among the first languages to release it.
It is not known whether the Pixi update will be updated by updating the original Samsung or updating the Noga Android.
